    A special festival of lights celebration. On the Full Moon Day of Thadingyut, locals offer the lighting of 9000 candles and 9000 flowers to the Buddha. On the next morning, rice, sweets and other snacks are offered.

    Hot-air Balloon Festival

    6-days holding Typical Pa-oh festival. Hot-air balloons are released day and night, competing over their beauty and the altitude they gain. Daytime flying is meant for competition of animal figures and night time is for beautiful fireworks.

    On full-moon day of Tazaungmone, 9999 candles are ceremoniously lit. At midnight, visitors are served with mixed salad of maezali buds, believed to possess powerful, magical and medicinal properties if eaten at this time.
