Day 01 Arrival At Yangon
Upon arrival at Yangon International Airport, meeting and transfer by our tour guide to
Hotel. After refreshment, visit Chaukhtatkyi Pagoda, a huge reclining Buddha;
Karaweik Hall, a Royal floating barge on the Royal Lake for a photo stop and the
world famous glittering Shwedagon Pagoda.

Day
02 Yangon - Heho - Inle (B)
Early morning transfer to airport for the flight to heho. Arrival at heho,
transfer to jetty, and then,
transfer by boat to hotel for check in. After refreshment, take a boat for the
excursion on Inle Lake famous for its unique one-leg rowers, typical floating
gardens, local methods of fishing and village life. Continue visit to Phaung Daw
Oo Pagoda housing five sacred Buddha images. In the afternoon, proceed to the
silk weaving village of In Phaw Khon and visit Nga Phe Chaung, the biggest and
oldest monastery around Inle Lake.

Day
03 Inle - Heho - Mandalay (B)
Morning transfer to airport for flight to Mandalay. Upon arrival, drive to
Amarapura and visit Mahagandayon Monastery, a famous Buddhist learning center
with a thousand monks, who take their final meal of the day in total silence.
Proceed to visit the ancient art of silk and cotton weaving, using handlooms and
U Bein Bridge, over 150 years old. In the afternoon visit the Mahamuni Pagoda;
Shwenandaw monastery, noted for its exquisite wood carvings; Atumashi monastery;
Kuthodaw Pagoda, known as the world's Biggest Book for its stone slabs of
Buddhist scriptures and Mandalay Hill for enjoying the sunset.

Day 04
Mandalay Full Day Sightseeing (B)
Morning sightseeing tour includes traditional silk weaving industry; Shwenandaw
Monastery, noted for its exquisite wood carvings; Atumashi Monastery;
Kyauktawgyi Pagoda, a large Buddha image carved out of a single block of marble;
Eindawya, a finely proportionate pagoda; Shweinbin Monastery, an excellent
specimen of Myanmar wooden architecture; famous Mahamuni Pagoda; and traditional
handicraft workshops - ivory carving, gold-leaf making and embroidery work.

Day 05
Mandalay - Sagaing - Monywa (B)
After breakfast drive to Sagaing Hill, a retreat for Buddhist devotees with
numerous pagodas and monasteries; visit Kaunghmudaw Pagoda and proceed to Monywa,
noted for its pagodas, religious institutions and places in its outlying area.
Continue to visit the magnificent Thanbokde Pagoda, adorned with 502,357 Buddha
images big and small; and Kyaukka Village, another centre for typical Myanmar
lacquer-ware industry with unique workmanship.

Day 06
Monywa - Powintaung - Pakokku - Bagan (B)
After breakfast, take the ferry to the other side of the Chindwin River and
where you board a car to see the seldom visited 15th Phowin taung temple complex
where many sandstone Buddhafs were carved in the hillsides in caves. Then,
proceed to Pakokku by car and take a boat and cross the Ayeyarwaddy River to
Bagan.

Day 07
Bagan Full Day Sightseeing (B)
After breakfast, transfer to airport for flight to Bagan. Sightseeing tour of
Bagan highlights Nyaung Oo Market; Shwezigon Pagoda, the prototype of later
Myanmar stupas; Kyansittha Umin, a tunnel with an interesting feature of
paintings; Htilominlo Temple and Shwegugyi Temple transitional in style between
the Early and Late Bagan period. Lunch at a restaurant. Afternoon visit Ananda
Temple; Ananda Okkyaung, a brick monastery with mural painting; Lacquerware
factories; Manuha Temple; Nanpaya, an Early style temple with the finest stone
carvings; Thatbyinnyu, the highest of Bagan temples; and Bupaya Pagoda on the
brink of majestic Ayeyarwaddy River.

Day 08
Bagan - Mt. Poppa - Bagan (B)
Breakfast at hotel, drive to Mt. Poppa (appr. 6 hrs drive). Visit the extinct
volcano. Rising out of the shimmering heat, the solitary volcanic crag of Mt.
Poppa is home to Myanmar's most powerful " nats ".(Spirits) Visit the Nat Museum
with its life-sized statues of the 37 Nat Gods. You can see many pilgrims along
the way. Late afternoon drive back to Bagan.

Day 09
Bagan - Yangon (B)
After breakfast, transfer to airport for flight back to Yangon. Afternoon, visit
Sule Pagoda , dating back over 2000 years, the Mahabandoola Park with its
Independence Monument and walk around the downtown area and visit Bogyoke
(Scott) Market.

Yangon Departure (B)
Free at your own leisure until to be transferred to Yangon International Airport
for your onward flight. |
