Day 01
Welcome on arrival , evening flight, at
Yangon Airport, and transfer to hotel.
Dinner at a reputable restaurant. Overnight in
Yangon.
Day 02
After breakfast at hotel, visit Yangon City.
Tour include Bothathaung Pagoda – the ancient monument
stood close to the Yangon wharves, Nan Thidar Jetty where
can be seen the daily life of Yangon River,
Sule Pagoda –
over 2000 years old surrounding the old colonial style building
in the city centre, Chaukhtat Gyi - a huge reclining
Buddha, National Museum, Kabaraye (World peace)
Pagoda,
Mahapathana Cave - where the Sixth Buddhist Synod took
place. Afternoon sightseeing includes
National Museum to see the 8 meters high
Golden Lion Throne and
Mandalay Palace Royal Regalia, utensils, manuscripts,
etc., Shwedagon Pagoda – over 2500 years old and one of
the world's most spectacular religious monuments. Evening
visit to China Town. Stay overnight at the hotel in
Yangon.

Day 03
Depart to Mandalay by express train in the
morning. Arrive Mandalay Railways Station in the late evening. Transfer to hotel and overnight in
Mandalay. |

Day 04
After breakfast at hotel, drive to Amarapura, an ancient capital from 11km south
of Mandalay and U Bein Bridge - 1.2 km long over 200 years old wooden bridge
built over Taungthaman Lake , Mahagandayon Monastery
- home to several thousand
young monks as a center for monastic study and strict religious discipline and
Silk weaving home cottage. Then continue to Mandalay and sightseeing to
Mahamuni Pagoda- built by King Bodawpaya
in 1784. It is well known for its Buddha Image, thickly covered
with layers of gold leaf. Then visit to Marble stone carving
workshops, Bronze casting workshops,
Puppet shop, Tapestry work-shop, Wood
carving and making showroom, Gold leaf
beating workshop.
Continue to Shwenandaw Kyaung (Golden Palace Monastery), a superb
example of Myanmar traditional wooden building and
Kuthodaw
Pagoda, Known as the world's largest book for its 729 marble slabs
engraved with Buddhist scriptures. Continue to
Mandalay Hill for a
panoramic view of the city and its surrounding areas at sunset.

Day 05
After breakfast, transfer to jetty to board
Mandalay-
Bagan River Cruise.
Sail along the Ayeyarwaddy River,
the country's greatest national highway. At leisure while admiring
the natural scenes of the both sides of river- banks. Upon arrival
in Bagan, admire the
Bagan sunset from the riverbank near
Bupaya
Pagoda. Check in hotel. Dinner and overnight in
Bagan.

Day 06
After breakfast, start sightseeing with
Nyaung
Oo Market where various kinds of local products and local people
can be seen. Then visit to Shwezigon
Pagoda, built by King
Anawrahta in the early 11th century as the first Buddhist building
built in Myanmar style. Continue to the ancient city of
Bagan,
which had been the Capital of First Myanmar Empire during 11th -
13th century. Over 2000 well - preserved pagodas and another 1000
ruined pagodas are scattering in the city area of 42 sq km. Visit
to Ananda Temple, which has four huge Buddha Images in standing
position and relieves depicting the Buddha from his birth to his
Enlightenment. Next visit is to Thatbyinnyu
Temple, the highest
white stucco building in Bagan.
After lunch, continues sightseeing to the rest of
Bagan. Visiting
places include Dhamayangyi,
Bagan's most massive temple;
Shwesandaw
Pagoda, with five terraces, built in 1057;
Manuha
Temple, from the 1059, in the Mon Style; and
Nanpaya Temple, said
to be the place of King Manuha's palace site. Also, visit the
Lacquer ware workshops in Myinkaba village. Watch Sunset over the
Ayeyarwaddy River from
Bupaya Pagoda on the riverbank. Dinner and
overnight in Bagan.

Day 07
After breakfast, transfer to
Nyaung Oo
Airport
for return flight to Yangon. Visit to
Shwedagon Pagoda, the
landmark of Yangon and one of the world's most spectacular
religious monuments. It is said to be built over 2000 years ago
enshrining the hair relics of Buddha. Continue to
Chauk Htat Gyi,
to see the huge reclining Buddha Image and then to gilded
Sule
Pagoda, over 2000 years old, and still stands as the landmark of
Yangon City Center. Proceed to
Bogyoke (Scott) Market where
hundreds of stalls of souvenirs and handicraft shops can be
visited.
After Lunch, visit the National Museum to see the 8 meters high
Golden Lion Throne and Mandalay Palace Royal Regalia, utensils,
manuscripts, etc. In the evening, transfer back to
Yangon Airport
for Departure. |
