Morning set off for 6 hours trekking to
Hti-nei Pa Oh village.
Time to observe the very simple life of Pa Oh hill tribe and
overnight at the village Monastery.
Day 02
Trek down to Naung-kei, which is another Pa Oh village, taking
about 1 hour to meet your driver and continue to the
Kakku Stupas
complex, hidden away in the land of
Pa Oh people. Drive back to
Taunggyi for overnight.
These centuries old Pagodas were
discovered by Shan farmers as they traced the source of light
coming out from the bushes that were covering the site. Since that
time, Kakku has become an important pilgrimage centre, the
week-long annual religious festival falls on a full moon of
Tabaung (mid-March) every year. Kakku is unheard of by many a
historian and unlisted in tourist guide books, so now is the time
to visit before the secret is out
